well the registration started at 9am and we arrived early. registered, got merchandise goodie bag *wink wink*.met lot of COOOOL people and met top CEOs of broadcasting industry.
The first talk was super fun :) the panels are Phat fabes, Ean and Jeremy with Mr.Malik as the operator. So many questions in our mind yet the time were limited. But after the discussion, Phat Fabes said, to succeed in the field you're gonna take,
[1] you got to have love and passion for it. MUST!
[2] you got to aim to be no 1
[3] and thirdly, walk on the line but never eva cross it. meaning, you have to walk through the changes and all that stuff but never cross the boundary that is prohibited to you~
I love the 1st one :P
well, in the first talk, we got to know what exactly their job scopes are, their life before they became radio announcers etc. and surprisingly, Phat Fabes has a degree in Law, Ean has a degree in engineering if I'm not mistaken, and Jeremy is Psychology Graduates!
so, they were all like, no matter what are you studying now, if you have passion in radio industry, just go for it and somehow things will work out for you!
hohooo then we had our second presenter...I dont remember his name and he talked about the guidelines in radio industry. what you can do, what you cant do, what is the line, the impact of radios on our community and many more. his talk was interesting because, he touched about laws, sensitivity among the listeners and told us a little bit about what happens if a dj or news presenter crosses the line and touch the sensitive issues. surely, gives us more information on what actually things that we should avoid/talk because the main objective is to deliver information and at the same time entertain the listeners.
second talk, the panels are from the sales department, dj skeletor and simon from engineering department. the sales department seems interesting though.
I mean, I like something that involves brainstorming, branding a product and actually sells it. lots of field work and get to meet many people.damn I like that.event coordinator, hows that sound huh??
and the 4th presenter is miss sue from...advertising I think. the slides are great but she actually not presenting and basically reading..so it's kinda of boring..
nevertheless, the input was good and I had the chance to talked to her~:)
here are some pics and I actually get the chance to be the dj baby!
